Bio

Jill Christy Reiss is an Actress, Model, and Singer. Jill is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA who has appeared in numerous Television Shows and in Major Motion Pictures filmed throughout the New York Tri-State Area. Among the Television shows are The Good Wife, appearing as Mrs. Marianne Kozko, MERCY (as one of the core nurses for the entire season), and on numerous others, including One Life to Live (She was honored to be a guest at Bo and Nora’s 2nd wedding and to appear in various other episodes), Blue Bloods (She was one of Tom Selleck’s Top Brass), and the list goes on… (Please visit her IMDb page or you can view/download her resume). Most recently, Jill can be seen as Diane Holden in the Independent Feature Film “Who’s Jenna…?” Jill also appears as Dr. Victoria Curkowski in the award-winning short film “Two Sides of Love” which is currently available on Amazon Prime. Jill stepped onto her first professional set in 2008 after attending her very first Open Call in New York City. After which she received that one life-changing phone call. The movie was The Taking of Pelham 123 starring Denzel Washington and John Travolta; her life has never been the same since.

On the Modeling side of the business Jill currently has freelance representation with CESD Talent Agency. When she’s not pursuing Acting or Modeling, she can usually be found practicing her singing, which she does with much joy and diligence. Jill has been singing for most of her life; as a child she participated in All-County Choir and in All-State Competitions. Jill recently completed 4+ years of private singing lessons.

Jill Christy Reiss holds a BA Degree from SUNY Albany with a Major in English and Minor in Theatre. She loves to read poetry and write poetry. Jill is also an avid animal-lover, who enjoys being in Nature, and she has a personal flare for photography. Jill also very much enjoys fashion and listening to most types of music, and pretty much all things classic. Jill enjoys sports and exercising, and she has recently discovered her love of running which motivated her to train and compete in her first 5K race which she did at Walt Disney World in 2019 and loved it. She is currently looking forward to more races in the future. Jill has a natural gift for cooking, and spends some of her down time relaxing by inventing new creations in the kitchen.

Jill has been acting for almost her entire life; when she was a little girl, she made the definite decision that someday when she was a famous actress that her middle name “Christy” must be included in her stage name, and so it is.

Some lesser known facts about Jill: She grew up riding dirt bikes (yes, motorcycles), and by having that knowledge and understanding of how a clutch works, is how she was able to teach herself, at an early age, to drive a stick shift. In addition, when Jill was in college, she was interviewed and then selected from thousands of girls to appear in the Miss New York USA Competition. She did not appear, due to other commitments at the time, but was very much honored by the selection. Jill also keeps a Pescatarian diet and is a lover of most things Seafood, including sushi. In addition, Jill is also an experienced Medical Office Manager.
